Launching Wireless Tracking Services

Engaged to work with cross-functional executive team of a publicly held wireless company to develop actionable go-to-market plans for the launch of vehicle tracking services.

Repositioning a Mature Multi-Division Software Business

Worked with multiple divisions of a top-10, global IT infrastructure software business to reposition several mature product lines into a consolidated solution that included BI, analytics, data warehouse, modeling and process management software, achieving 120% of targeted revenue within six months.

Launching a New VoIP and Infrastructure Service

Worked with CEO to plan for and launch voice, data and IT infrastructure (IaaS) services through distribution channels in North America. Provided operational assistance in areas such as marketing, selling, sourcing and contracting for value-added services as required during launch phase. Acted as CSO and CMO at various times.

Divestment and Growth of a Controls Software Business

Worked with CEO to develop investor proposals and to spin-out a software controls division from the parent industrial computer company. Provided operational quick-start initiatives to establish the business. The resulting entity was funded from a leading venture stage investor and eventually sold to another industrial controls business.

Repositioning Professional Publishing Tools

Facilitated the annual corporate strategy and business unit plans for a leading enterprise-class software publishing company who was seeking to reposition in target vertical areas.

Developing Services Productization Processes

Engaged with the professional service team of a leading SaaS-based back-office software company to standardize a process for productizing professional services.

Telecom Transformation Management

Teamed with another management consulting firm to help a leading telecommunications provider to implement transformation/change management across multiple product lines and acquired businesses.

Developing Markets for Scientific Imaging

Worked with the executive team of a scientific imaging and analysis software company over multiple years to develop and track growth initiatives for fingerprint, DNA, medical systems and other computer graphics applications that resulted in 30%+ growth annually.

Creating a Real-Time, Global Asset Tracking Platform

As advisor and extended team member over multiple years, defined and assisted with go-to-market execution plans that expanded the defense-related RFID business into commercial logistics markets. Worked with CEO to develop plans for a global, real-time shipping container tracking service (SasS) in partnership with major ports in the Asia/Pacific region.

Launching Scanning Services in North America for an EU Business

Developed North American market-entry plans and catalyzed launch efforts while the CEO hired and built-out the permanent US team in parallel.
